Frequently asked questions
What does it cost to get started?
Nothing. Every new account starts free — and opens with full Premium access for 14 days so you can see the entire platform, especially the real school data. No credit card is required to begin. When the 14 days are up, you move to the free plan automatically.
How do I know which plan is right for me?
You don't have to decide up front — every account starts with 14 days of full Premium, so you'll feel where the free limits land before anything changes. As a rule of thumb: Free is plenty while you're getting oriented and tracking a short list of schools. Premium is for when you're actively recruiting — a longer school list, regular profile unlocks, and enough coach emails that the monthly caps start getting in your way.
What happens when my 14 days of Premium end?
You settle onto the free plan. Nothing is deleted and nothing locks you out. Everything you tracked and unlocked during your trial stays visible. To add more beyond the free limits you can upgrade anytime — and your monthly profile and email unlocks refresh on their own each month.
Do I lose my data if I don't upgrade?
No. Your records are kept. If you tracked 12 schools and unlocked 8 full profiles during your trial, all of them stay on your account afterward. You keep what you built — the free plan just caps how much new activity you can add in certain areas.
Do the free limits reset?
Some do, some don't. Your monthly unlocks — full school profiles (5) and smart-drafted coach emails (3) — reset at the start of each month. Your School Tracker limit is different: it's a standing cap of 3 schools, so once you're tracking 3 — or you kept more from your trial — a new month won't free up room. The only way to add more schools is to upgrade to Premium.
Are coaches really free?
Always. The Coach Dashboard and team tools are free on every plan and at both tiers. Coaches bringing athletes and families onto the platform never hit a paywall — that's by design.
Can one account cover more than one athlete?
Yes. A guardian account can link multiple athletes, with a switcher between their dashboards and shared progress visibility. Billing is per athlete: each one has their own subscription, and every additional child checks out at the family rate of $19.99/month or $167.99/year — all on the same guardian account.
How do I upgrade to Premium?
You can upgrade anytime from inside your account — most families do it the moment a free limit starts getting in the way, like adding a fourth school or sending that month's fourth coach email. Because your history is already saved, upgrading just lifts the caps; you don't start over.
Can I cancel Premium? What happens to my account?
You can cancel anytime. When Premium ends you return to the free plan and keep all of your records — same as when a trial ends. You'll only be limited in how much new activity you can add in capped areas, never locked out of what you've already built.
Why isn't there a countdown trial that locks me out?
Because recruiting plays out over years, not a single week. A lock-out trial would interrupt your athlete's habit right when it's forming. Starting with the full platform and then dropping to a generous free plan keeps the essentials going — and lets you upgrade later, when recruiting urgency is highest.
